About
Service-Driven, Results-Focused Real Estate Specialist
That’s me. In order to make a name for yourself in the real estate business (in any business), you’ve got to focus on the service you provide. In my dealings with clients, I start with one very important principle that guides all of my decisions. It is: Do onto to others as you would have them do on to you. I treat people with respect and honesty, consistency and professionalism. Respect is my guiding principle which essentially reminds me that the client is right two times a day - day and night. Honesty is the backbone of any relationship, both personal and business-related and my honesty helps my clients make wise decisions regarding real estate transactions. Consistency shows people that I mean what I say, I follow through and ultimately do what I say I’m going to do. Professionalism includes organization and plain old common sense (I never keep a client or colleague waiting).
Hello! My name is Thomas McGiveron. Most people call me Tom (makes sense right). Anyhow, I was born and raised on Long Island. I am a graduate of Connetquot High School. I attended Suffolk Community College where I received my Associates Degree in General Studies. From there, I attended SUNY Oswego and received my Bachelors in Sociology and Masters Degree in Counseling. I spent several years in the addictions and mental health field, counseling groups and individuals.
I took off four years from being an employee and bought into a landscaping business, where my friend and I grew a business from 60 accounts to over 120 faithful customers in less than 3 years. We sold our business and I once again decided to go into business for myself, as myself.
My grandmother Daisy McGiveron, who lived to be 100 years old, left our family with a home here on Long Island with no debts. I learned about real estate financing, investing and some real estate law all through this one house. It became clear to me that I enjoyed the real estate business and I saw how my personable skills and education would benefit not only me, but people in my community, family and friends.
I am a full-time real estate agent. I have realized how important it is to provide premium service to everyone I meet. As a therapist, it was my job to be there for my clients. As a real estate agent, nothing has changed except the business. Most real estate agents like to talk…a lot. So do I, however, my training as a professional counselor has helped me to really listen to my clients and customers. I have turned this seemingly simple characteristic into a tool to better service my clients.
I have been told by many people that I am personable, smart, funny, and responsible (thanks mom)! But I won’t sit here and tell you that I have these qualities; that’s not my style. What I will do is let you be the judge of that. Give me the chance to give you the premium full-time service you deserve.
As a homeowner on Long Island, you’ve come a long way and managed to buy real estate in a very expensive area. You don’t deserve (and quite frankly can’t afford) to settle for part-time help. You don’t deserve second-rate service for a 2% commission. You deserve much more than that.
I look forward to providing you with the best that I have to offer which includes specialization in the following:
- Comprehensive Analysis of Real Property (value assessment of homes)
- Creative Marketing/Advertising
- Complete Contact Management (so no potential buyer is lost due to incompetence)
- Continuous Communication (with my clients using personal websites, weekly meetings, etc.)
In closing, I am glad you decided to visit my website. I am working hard on it to make sure it doesn’t turn into “just another real estate agent website”. Feel free to contact me right now by calling my office at (631)587-1700, ext. 51. I look forward to doing business with you!

With over 100 years in the business, I knew there was only one company which I wanted my business to be affiliated. Coldwell Banker has a long history of serving sellers, buyers and investors. I cannot speak for every individual agent out there, but I know that the Coldwell Banker business model is one that puts the client first.
My partner, Paul Musso, and I follow this model and hope you consider us for the job, whether you’re selling your home, trying to find your next new home or looking for that next wise investment.
Thank you.
